Ok ladies, if we apply for our wedding liscence now, does that mean legally we are married from this point and how long do we have ot have it signed before we need to get another one?

Not sure about the legal question, but I do know that the marriage license is good for 60 days!

The license is good for 60 days. You are not legally married until an officiant of some sort (whether justice of the peace, pastor, civil, etc.) signs the license with you and your witnesses. You have to wait 24 hours after you receive the license to do so. Then you have to submit the license back to town hall, who will then give you your official marriage certificate with the seal stating the name change. Then you're officially married If you want to do the marriage certificate early, you don't have to change your name over right away as long as you put the name change on your marriage certificate.
