The Bridal Building maybe. It's on broadway in the hi-30's I think. Someone here can probably help you.

Go to bridalbuilding.com, the building is on 1385 Broadway. I have not been there but that might be what you are looking for.

Re: 'Wedding Mall' in the city???

I have been there that is where my sister bought her wedding gown. They have all types of designers and vendors for weddings. We went on a Saturday...almost everything was closed...I would say go during the week.

Re: 'Wedding Mall' in the city???

The vendors in the Bridal Building is primarily for wholesale buyers and is only open to the public on Saturdays (9am - 3pm I think). What you will find there is mostly vendors selling wedding gowns and accessories and some BM and MOB dresses. When you enter the building there will be a table in the lobby and someone will stop you to say you need to register with them to get in - but that is not true. These people are trying to sell you their services (limo, photo, etc) and so that's how they get your contact information - I would be wary of them. Just tell them you've already registered. There is a list posted by the elevator bank to tell you which floors with vendors are open that day.

Re: 'Wedding Mall' in the city???

I went to the bridal bldg to waste time and I didn't experience anything ssdare stated. This might be another bldg. The one I went to is 1385 Broadway. I went on a weeknight. Alot of the places are open then too. There is a security desk at the far end of the corridor and you just tell him you want to go to the bridal floor and he tells you what floor it is and go up the elevators on the right.

The places I visited the quality of the fabrics, the stitching, and craftmanship was not up to par. Someone quoted me for making a Maggie gown a little bit more than what Burton's Bridal did! And she stressed these are Maggie gowns she was showing me. No they weren't. They made replicas of Maggie gowns. BIG difference..

Re: 'Wedding Mall' in the city???

Well I got my dress from the bridal building from Viviens Bridal and the top part of my dress was a Maggie Sottero. I had the bottom of my dress custom made. I have no complaints and Diane did an amazing job with my dress and alterations. I received many compliments regarding my dress and I still do.
