My FH is not really into dancing so I had the task of picking out all the music. With Absolute Entertainment you submit it online and then they call you the week of to go over everything. I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks away!

Awesome!! That's great that he let you pick! My FH isn't much of a dancer either, but still wants his say in the playlist. He keeps telling me we don't only have to have 'twerking' music and I keep telling him we aren't going to play music he wants to 'chill out' and listen to when people want to be up dancing! Congrats on the check!!

Question-- I am using Absolute as well, but when I looked at their submission forms there wasn't a lot of room for leeway-- for example, I want 3 songs for our reception entrance, one for parents, one for bridal party, one for bride and groom. What did you do when you wanted something other than those choices?
2- Were you able to have a specific conversation with them about what kind of music you are choosing? Or did you just make the selections on the submission forms?
3- I am not sure if your package is the same, but we get an hour of music on a CD for cocktail hour... how do those songs get chosen????

I know they have a check off for the bride and groom song as different than the bridal party. For the parents' entrance, I would put it under special instructions on the bottom of the wedding protocol page. We kept the same song for the whole group but you can definitely have the 3 I'm sure.
For cocktail hour we are using one of their musicians. He's also doing the ceremony music. For the ceremony I wanted specific music so I called them about that a few months ago. They told me to e-mail them a month before and that the musician would reach out-which he did. I would call them about the cocktail hour music although my understanding is it is intended as background music. Even with the musician I didn't pick specific songs.
They call the week of the wedding to review the submissions. I'm sure if you want to meet in person they could accomodate that request.
