FH and I were wondering where we should stay the night of our wedding? We aren't planning on leaving on our honeymoon for 2-3 days. Is it customary to go home then after the wedding or book a suite and go home the following day?
Any thoughts? TIA

Re: Wedding night?
We plan on booking a night at the hotel we choose for our out of town guests.. this way we can have a brunch the next day before they all depart:)

Re: Wedding night?
We stayed at the Garden City Hotel. It was nice and we wanted to stay out that night, I guess it just continues your wedding a bit.
The next night we stayed in our apt, then left for the HM.
It was nice though, but we couldn't wait to get home.

we stayed 2 nights at the long island marriott and we loved it. the food is excellent for room service and the bed was so comfortable

Re: Wedding night?
Me and my FH are planning to go home that night, I can't see spending money just to sleep in the hotel. Our wedding will be over at midnight and checkout is usually 11am or 12 noon the next day. My mom will be having all the OOT over for brunch the next day. We will then leave for the honeymoon the follwing morning.

Re: Wedding night?
We aren't sure yet. It depends on when we go on our honeymoon. If we leave for our honeymoon the next day, we will stay at home (we live only a few minutes away from LaGuardia). If we aren't leaving for HM the next day, we will stay at a hotel.

We are staying at the Hyatt Windwatch (originally the Wyndam Windwatch) with our guests who are also staying there. We are also planning a brunch for the next morning. I can't wait

Re: Wedding night?
We are staying at the Fox Hollow Inn for our wedding night. They gave us the room for free when we booked our wedding. We will probably only stay there one night.

My family and FH's family are staying the night before at the Hampton Inn. We are making it a weekend getaway.

Us too and it worked out great considering you barely get to spend anytime with them at the actual wedding.

We are staying at a suite where ever we decide to block rooms for our guests.
