We are getting married on a Saturday and not leaving for our honeymoon until Monday. We decided to stay at our apartment (hopefully we will have one by then). No need to spend extra money on a hotel. We are already spending enough on the honeymoon.

I heard that Garden City is like 600 a night for the honeymoon suite
yeah and the mandarin is not cheap either...i would rather stay at the mandarin in the city...We said its our wedding night so well go all out

we stayed at a hotel then left for the honeymoon on Monday (our wedding was a saturday)

OUr wedding was on Sunday, we spent that night at a hotel, monday spent the day with my parents, went home to our apt. monday night and left for the HM Tuesday morning.

i can't decide which way I want to go. We will hopefully have our house by the time we are married, and I am getting married on a Fri night leaving for HM on Sunday.
Part of me just wants to be able to go home and not have to worry about checking out of a hotel the following day.
Does that sound like a dumb idea?

Married on Saturday and spent the wedding night at a hotel. Left for honeymoon on Monday. Spent Sunday night at home packing.

Well we were going to stay at a hotel the night of the wedding, since we are getting married on saturday and leaving for our HM on sunday, but our plane got changed to 7:30 in the morning and we would have to be at the airport at 4:30. I thought it was pointless to spend 300 a night to stay for like 3 hours.
