Anyone not going to a hotel the night of the wedding? We were thinking of just coming home since we will be leaving for the honeymoon. Is that bad?

No it is not bad! Why spend extra money if you are leaving that quickly any way!

No not at all...plus, you will save time by not packing for that over night stay...I'm not staying at a hotel.

not at all, that's what we did. it was so nice to just come home to our bed (and our kitty!) after such a long, emotional day.

No, I don't think it's bad. FH are going to hotel afterwards because I have points with my American Express card and it entitles us to a free room!!!! But as long as you have a place to go to, no it's not wrong at all!!!

we are coming home afterwards. We are more comfortable there, will get to be w/the dog, and are saving money. I thought I was like the only one going home afterwards!

Re: Wedding Night...
We ill be going home also... our daughter is moving out this summer... off to college so the house is ours.. plus the dogs will be freaking out missing us....we decided not to take our honeymoon til next year, since we have friends and family coming to town from out of state and country for our wedding and they are staying for a week so quiet time at home will be nice.

Re: Wedding Night...
We went home! We only had six hours between the end of the reception and getting picked up for the aiport, so it wasn't worth it. We said we were going to just stay up, but by 2am we were so exhausted... we went to sleep for 2 hours! UGH But boy did we make up for it on our HM... on the 1st day we slept from 5pm until 10am the following morning! It was great!!!

Re: Wedding Night...
We're up in the air about what we're going to do. I might not move into whatever place we find until after the wedding, so if that's the case, I might just want to go home to our place after the wedding. And we'd save money, which is a plus.
But there's def nothing wrong with just going home after your wedding!!!

Re: Wedding Night...
If you are leaving the next day then it is probably smart to just come home...Just make sure you make it special...even set up the bed with rose petals that morning so it doesn't feel anticlimatic to come back to your house.
