WEDDING NIGHT HOTEL STAY

Original post by Fall Bride 2008

I was thinking of a perfect hotel to stay in for the night of our wedding. I love the Mandarian Oriential Hotel but I was thinking of a few other top of the line hotels to stay in that night. Any ideas for Manhattan hotels?

Re: WEDDING NIGHT HOTEL STAY

The wedding night I am just going to stay where I block rooms for my guests. I would love to go into the city or to the Garden City Hotel the night of my wedding, but we will probably not get to the hotel until VERY late. We are thinking about adding an extra hour to the RH which would make the party end at 1 and then by the time we left it would be b/t 130-2 and then going to the after-party at a hotel bar with our guests would be ideal...so if we arent getting to bed, at the earliest 3, I can't see spending all of that money on a hotel room for a few hours just to check out at 11am. We are not planning on leaving for our HM until the 6th so maybe on the night from the 5th-6th we will stay somewhere fancy.

I'll get out very late too, my wedding ends at 1:30 am...but we wouldn't check out the next morning at 11am...I also would LOVE to take pictures in the city so it would really help. Plus FH and I are from queens, and live 10 mins away from the city so it works out

I'm not saying it's a bad idea...it just doesn't work for us. When would you take pics in the city?? That night or the next day?

No i know what you were saying, just saying that if i do stay in the city that night theres no way i am waking up to check out at 11am, would stay there until the next day.

I would want pictures at night...Nothing big or anything like that...I would love to have the photographer take pics of us, but then that would be way over 10 hours and don't think they would stay that late to do it lol, ill ask but know it wont happen.

I'm torn about what to do....Our wedding isn't going to end till after 3am. Should we go to a hotel and then stay till the following day or go home and then go to a hotel the next night.

I dont know if this is anywhere near where you are getting married, but FH and I had our early valentines day weekend at the Hyatt out east. The price wasn't too bad and it was a nice room. Prolly not as luxurious as the manderine oriental of course, but I thought it was nice. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was really nice.
