Wedding Night Stay for Bride/Groom at Three Village Inn

Hi, good afternoon all. My FB and I are getting married at Three Village Inn in October 2012. When we booked, we did not reserve a room (cottage) for ourselves because we were strapped for cash at the time and we weren't sure we would end up staying there.

Turns out, that was a bad mistake. Their nicest cottage room, Room 16, is also their largest with a view of the harbor, fireplace, 2 rooms, living room and kitchen. Turns out, the couple getting married the day before us has that room booked for their night and our night as well. Thus, we were forced to book at another suit, room 20 (identical to room 19). It's not as large and doesn't have a fireplace, but still has a great view of the harbor.

My question to all of you:

Does anyone have an experience with the rooms at TVI? Has anyone stayed in room 20 (or 19)? Is there anything else I can do to even attempt to try and get room 16, or would that be highly inappropriate?

Thanks to all in advance for their help.

I don't have experience with staying there but I hear the rooms are beautiful. I'm getting married there, but not staying there... your room I'm sure will be beautiful. don't sweat it...it's only 1 night, right? and you still have a view of the harbor!

I'm staying somewhere else, and don't even have a suite, but it wasn't that important to us....Good luck! 3 Village is a great place!!

I'm getting married at TVI in November '12 and we blocked 10 rooms (one of them being cottage 16!) but we also blocked the one next to it for the night before and from what I heard, it was a really great cottage and a lot like #16. I'm sure if you call and ask them about it, they'll tell you their favorite rooms! the girls who work there showed me all of their favorite rooms.

I got married there in April. Reserve or at least block all the rooms you can now if you haven't yet! We had a few issues because we didn't reserve all the rooms up front and ended up having most of the Inn booked except for 2 or 3 rooms that my family really wanted. There is nothing better than having an after party in the tavern followed by an after-after party in the suite and not worrying about people getting home.
