wedding off, trying to get rid of my dress

hey everyone,

im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but my friend told me about this site and i thought it might help.

supposed to have gotten married in september, wedding was called off and now i have beautiful dress and nothing to do with it. I am trying to sell it as i have no use for it and would like to make back some of the money that was obviously lost in the process.

It is a Tomasina gown style 1238 in a very pale blush color with an ivory overlay (also shown on tomasina.com) that was purchased from the Wedding Salon of Manhasset for $4200, which includes the price of the alterations i had done, ie; bustle, lace has been attached to bottom and i had the neckline made straight across as opposed to sweetheart. it is a size 14, although i am generally a size 10 or 12.

I am willing to accept best offer. I just want to have it off my hands and not have to worry about what to do with it at this point.

Please feel free to get back to me with any questions. Again, i am sorry if this is the wrong place to post for this, and am open to any suggestions anyone may have on where else i may be able to post a listing for it.

Thanks,
Melissa

Beautiful dress... I am so sorry you have to get rid of it and called the wedding off. I hope you are able to have someone buy it from you. The girls on here are awesome and I am sure that someone can help you out!! Thanks for posting!

it is a beautiful dress...

I would also try posting on craigslist or e-bay... your chances are probably better there as many of us have our dresses already.

GOOD LUCK!

yup--i agree. craigslist or ebay is the way to go. you might be able to find someone on the 2008 or 2009 boards who might be interested.

so sorry to hear about your cancellation--but everything happens for a reason! hope you have a happy holiday!
