Wedding Officiant Help!

Wedding Officiant Help!

This is my first time posting so I hope you guys will help me out. I am having 2 weddings, a very small one in NY for my FH side of the family and then a big wedding in Ireland for my side. We want to have the NY wedding in a restaurant to save money (we are paying for both with no help). I think we found a restaurant, so now we are looking for an Officiate. Does anyone know someone that will perform a ceremony for $200 or less? Every person I've contacted costs around $550!

Wow, $550 seems steep!!

I used Fr. Tom McCormick for $400, he was great but I see still out of your price range.

I think you can get a local judge or a JOP to marry you for what you're looking to spend. Contact your town hall and see if they can give you any recommendations.

on top of it I didn't even think about having to invite him/her to the dinner?!?! we want to do it all in the same room and have dinner right after the ceremony. That would be an extra $100!!!! What do I do?!?!!?

You don't have to invite the officiant to the dinner. They're getting paid to perform the service, they're not a guest. I mean, you can invite them if you want to but it's not necessary. Once they're done performing the ceremony they can just leave while you and your guests enjoy the dinner.

Try Rev Deb from Ceremonies of the Heart... she was more affordable...

Pastor April (vendor on here) is flexible if you let her know what you can afford... she is normally 450 but will work with your budget

My officiant if from the Humanist society. He teaches Graduate courses at St John's too and is SOOO nice!

I believe he charges under $300, and its taken as a donation to the humanist society,

FM me for details.
