Wedding on the Day of the NYC Marathon!
Of all days in the year, my sister-in-law has just realized that her downtown Manhattan wedding is going to take place on the day of the NYC Marathon - Sunday, Nov. 7th, 2004.
It's an afternoon wedding 12 noon, of course - right in the height of running time.
She has booked all of her vendors, and we have guests from Long Island, Brooklyn, an Queens who are going to need to get past the racing path (which runs from Staten Island north until the Bronx!)
Does anyone else have the same problem or know anything about the traffic situation?
She doesn't want to change her date but we are all telling her this could be a nightmare. Does anyone know for sure!
