Wedding Party

I am making a wedding Program , and I had listed the wedding party in this order

grandparents
parents
MOH
Brides Maids
Best Man
GM

The new Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine lists them in this order

Officiants
Parents of the Bride
Parents of the Groom
MOH
Best Man
BM
GM
Readers
Musicians

Is there an etiquette?

i dont know if there's an etiquette or not (im sure there is, as there is for everything!), but i think the way Martha Stewart has it makes the most sense.

since it doesnt have grandparents, i would put them after the parents (as i feel the parents are 'more significant') (also, i think the MOH and Best Man should be together since they are typically 'equal')

however, it's YOUR program so of course you are entitled to do it any way you want!

I wrote people on the program in the order they walked in. This helps your guests figure out who is who...

I think the maid of honor and best man should be listed together. In your first order you have the best man nearly at the end.

I dont think grandparents are considered part of the wedding party so thats probably why it wasnt listed but I dont think they should be listed first.

But dont worry about it too much - not too many people notice.

The reason the grandparents are listed is that apparently at a Jewish wedding they walk in with the wedding party.

Someone correct me if that is wrong.
