Wedding Party Gifts...
I know it's important to get gifts for everyone, but at this point, we have absolutely no money!!! I mean it. We can't even pay our bills. I don't know what to do? We have 10 people in our party, so that can get very expensive. Any suggestions?

Melissa, are you crafty in anyway?Maybe you can make them something yourself..or maybe explain to them the situation (most friends understand) and maybe get them something afterwards, sort of like an IOU

Re: Wedding Party Gifts...
what if you made up cute little coupons that they can use after the wedding? Things like 'it's all over now lets relax' and you could tell them you will treat them to manicure pedicures after the honeymoon?

Re: Wedding Party Gifts...
Honestly - I don't think its right to stiff your friends. Afterall, they found the money to pay for the dress and other expenses, it only right you thank them properly. I was in BP where the bride gave us nothing and I was quite hurt - I didn't have much money at the time but I scrapped the cash together to be there for her, I think she owed her bridal party some sort of token. But if you cant, an IOU with a very thoughtful thank you card will do. Just make sure to follow up with the IOU as soon as possible.

Re: Wedding Party Gifts...
I agree with Stef about making sure to get them something. You can get an inexpensive pair of silver earrings for the girls ($15 or so) and the guys can get engraved beer mugs. You can also consider getting them a nice photo frame. I would have a smaller, less expensive RD and use that money on BP gifts.

I don't know if the sale is still on Tomorrow (Sunday), but JCPenney's had some nice 14k gold earrings for $20. I couldn't believe they were only $20. I bought two pairs for friends.

I think some department stores had necklace and earring sets quite reasonable...also you could get a picture frame and tell them that you will give them a picture to fill it after the wedding

Macys always has sales and you can get some pretty nice stuff at good prices. You should give gifts to your attendants, even if its a little something.

I was at Macys this past weekend and they had some really pretty jewelry sets for $20. My mom was drooling over them.Like one of the other girls mentioned...do coupons for free carwashes, lawn cutting, future BBQ or meal.

They have those pottery shops where you can handpaint something...a mug, trivet, jewelery box, etc. Something like that, although inexpensive, can mean a whole lot because of the thought and effort that went into it...good luck with it - we're in the same boat!!!Welcome New Vendors
