'PLEASE HELP!!! I have a big family full of cousins. I was in all their weddings and now it is my turn. I want everyone in mine, but if I do it will be at least 10 bridesmaids! Can I do that? And what about my male cousins? Please, I am in tears!' How many is too many?

I have got 1 MOH, 9 BM, 2 JBM
FH has 2 BM, 11 GM, 2 RB
So we have a total including us is 29!
We wanted to include all of our good friends and close family members.
To make all the girls happy, I did seperates for dresses, and I picked the color and let the girls pick their own tops. Everyone wound up with a different top. I think it is going to look nice.
So since my wedding party is tremendeous, I don't think it could get too big!

I have a similar problem. I figured I am going to ask everyone or nobody and just have my closest friend as a MOH. But I am leaning toward asking the closest people which will be 8 girls and just talk to others, explain to them why I can't have everyone and try to include them in my wedding in some other way. On the other hand I have seen a wedding with 12 girls in a BP and it looked awesome on the pictures. The bride called her Bridal party 'my zoo' - no offense

i'm having 9 bridesmaids, and there will be 12 groomsmen becuase of a similar issue... You dont want to hurt anyones feelings especially if you were in all of their weddings! If you think thats too many to have,why dont you have them do other things, like maybe readings,or have them be in charge of things at the reception?

I am only having 6 girls and 6 guys - but friends of ours had 12 girl attendants, 12 guy attendants and a ring boy and a flower girl - Do whatever makes you happy! If you want a lot then that is great - the problem arises when you want a small bridal party - so doenst look like you have a problem.

I don't think there is a such thing as too many. If you are blessed enough to have so many people you love in your life, you should have them all. I have nine BMs, nine GMs, three junior GMs, and one flowergirl. That is a total off 22 people in my BP. I wouldn't have it any other way. A saleslady at a dress store recently told me that she has seen bridal parites with over 40 people in it!!

How many people are you invited to the wedding? If I had all my cousins, there would be 43. How many friends/family members does your FH have? If he has a small number, maybe you can find other roles for the extra people? What ages are the people we are talking about. What's the male/female ratio. Does your FH wanta large party?

i have 10 bridesmaids... i have 5 sisters and 2 cousins that i am so close with they are like my sisters, plus i wanted my best friends and his sister. it will be fun though.

Definitely do what makes you happy! There's nothing wrong with including everyone if you want to!
If you do want to cut out people, you may want to cut the married people (so you would have only brides'maids', no brides'matrons') - maybe less chance of offending someone. But then expect people to do the same to you.

I am also having a large party 8 girls 8 guys 3 flower girls 3 little boys I was going to have more but it was hard enough to get everyone together for dress fittings and everthing else plus the cost of getting everyone a gift is getting out of control hey this is a once in a lifetime thing though 134 more days to go

I have a lot of cousins also. In terms of the males, I told him he picks his groomsmen, so I didn't deal with that, I have 9 girl cousins which 5 are married and I was in their weddings too. I eliminated the ones that weren't married. You can also pick from a hat - - tell them you want so many people because FH has that many guys - - some might even say, that's OK I don't mind being in it.
