What is everyone doing for place cards? I don't want to necessarily order them in advance because I am afraid of last minute additions, cancellations, or changes. I want to DIY them but I am not sure how they will turn out. Any advice?

Wedding place cards
I don't have any advice, but I was thinking the same thing. I feel like there are always last minute changes. There are some instructions for fancy ones in the DIY boards on here, but it seems time consuming. I might give that a try.

Get the printable place cards from Michael's. There are a couple on each page. You can always add a rhinestone, small flower, or other emblishement to dress them up.
I'm using photo booth frames with inserts. Only one per couple /family and I will just leave extra frames with the attendant so each person will have their own. I'm going to DIY.

I am using leaves that are cut out of wood and hanging them on a tree. FH things it will be annoying for guests. so we shall see.

Wedding place cards
I am using tents i ordered from paper-source.com and will add card stock with the names on the front with lacy punched out corners. My girlfriend did it for her wedding and will help me with mine. Its a lengthy DIY but I LOVED hers and am willing to spend the time on this small detail

Wedding place cards
My RH has place cards that they gave to me. Is it cheap/ crappy looking if I just write neatly on them instead of buying them?
I used the DIY ones from Michaels. They were actually pretty doable and I am not typically one to DIY! I did them 2 weeks before the wedding, and I downloaded a very pretty script font. It did take me a couple hours altogether to type, adjust, print, fold, alphabetize them, but I didn't want to spend the money!

we are using the tents that our hall provides. we are going to use stickers on them from staples (avery) and then we will 'garnish' them with felt birds i got from michaels :)

I am DIY them. I'm keeping it simple. I found the template online and tailored it to my colors and changed the fonts.
