i was debating whether to get one or not, because i have found this wedding planning to be a lot more difficult than i had anticipted. Since booking my reception site, i have been pretty much stagnant on the wedding plans, i have not been able to accomplish anything else.
if anyone has used one, do u have any recommendations? and what exactly do they do?

I have three.....each one had something the other didn't!!!!
What do they do? They help keep you organized and keep everything together. I find the one that has pockets to be the most useful and you want one where you can put in business cards too so they don't get lost. It was great in the beginning and I carried it everywhere now with so little time left I don't really use it much because I transfered all of my vendor info onto the computer

yes i meant a wedding planner as in a person, not a book.

My wedding hall came with a bridal planner. I don't know if you would consider her one of those kind though. I got all my favors, matches and invites threw her. She said she get them at a discounted price. But if they didn't provide one I probally would not get one.
