now my fh brings up the idea of getting a wedding planner yesterday! lol its so annoying because planning wise he doesn't want to plan this thing at all..we actually have fights about it sometimes as well..but would you hire a wedding planner so late in the planning phases? half of my vendors are already booked..thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Wedding Planner???
LOL!! I am laughing while I am reading this because FH and I discussed this yesterday too. We both brought it up. I still haven't booked much so we are actually considering it. At the very least I think I may get a DOC. I have to say that all of this planning is taking up a lot more of my time than I anticipate and I don't want to be a stressed out mess as we approach our wedding date.

Re: Wedding Planner???
I am so happy to hear that I am not the only one that has had FH not want to be involved with the planning. If you have the $$ for it I say do it !! Especially if it will make you feel better. And if I may say. that if you hadnt done the planning so far how would you be able to give us such good wedding ideas/advice? .

Re: Wedding Planner???
Sounds all to familiar. On FH To-do list in order of importance, Bachlor party, Tux and showing up to the church on time. Gotta love em LOL

Re: Wedding Planner???
I would only do it if you think it would really help you out. I'm sure as it gets closer, all the little things will pile up and it may be nice to have a professional there to sort it all out. I'm personally not getting one because i'd rather put the money somewhere else.

Re: Wedding Planner???
I don't think it is too late at all. It would probably be less stressful if you got one. I wish I could get one but I don't have the money to. Plus I like to control what I am doing...lol

Re: Wedding Planner???
I thought the Day of Coordinator dealt with the details of the actual wedding day where the wedding planner helps and actually plans everything including ordering and researching vendors..???? I may be WAY off!

Re: Wedding Planner???
I say if it makes your life less stressful then go for it! Will you feel like you aren't in control though? I don't think I would be able to do that because I need to feel like I am in control of the planning ya know?

Re: Wedding Planner???
a WP is with you for the whole process and the DOC is only there for the day of (well usually a few weeks before)

Re: Wedding Planner???
I think you just need a DOC and they can help you from here on out. Even though you have half of your vendors booked- you still have a lot of little things to do I'm sure like favors, invites, etc so your DOC can help you out with finding vendors for those details.

Re: Wedding Planner???
LOL a lot of people use them but for me, it would make me feel less 'hands on' about my own wedding and i just dont have the need for it

Re: Wedding Planner???
thanks now I know the difference. I thought I would go the WP route but the stress is so much more fun...... This coming week I hope to cross off 2 vendors off the list.. Wish me luck..
