How much does a wedding planner cost? I am just too busy to do this thanks

I am a professional event planner by profession. I can tell you the usual going rate is between 10% and 15% of the total cost of the wedding. However, it also depends on the reputation, the experience, and what the planner feels they need to charge for the time put into the event. I planned my own wedding and I wish I had hired someone. It was a very stressful time. I couldn't imagine doing it without having any knowledge of the industry, how it works, how to negotiate, etc..... I think it's a very good idea to hire someone.
