Hi Girls, 09'er crashing Quick question since you are all probably in the beginning of your planning: are any of you using a wedding planner or day or coordinator? If not, do you wish you were? AND - how much do you think a service like this should go for? TIA

No not using a planner...We have 3 years in total to plan our wedding, so if i cant do it all in myself I think I have a problem lol The DOC i still have no decided if I want one yet...Cost is a major factor in my decision

I am not using a wedding coordinator- but I am seriously considering a DOC. I met with 1 lady and I would just hire her for 6 hours. Its not tooo much extra money- but it wouldn't be something that I HAVE to have. I think I am going to hire her just to make sure that my church goes smoothly and to make sure that we stay on time with things.
I booked my DOC through my hall. She helped me out with SO much stuff before I even booked her, so I feel like she already knows my wedding LOL. She was pricey, but Jessica is TOTALLY worth it.

we are considering a planner because we are both lazy but i think we can pull it off but we have discussed it! so maybe we will get a coordinator if not def we will get a DOC

Def not a Wedding Planner but I was talking to FH about a DOC because I don't know if I want the added stress of knowing if things are going wrong. I heard they werent so much money so it is def a possiblity.

Definitely no wedding planner besides myself but I would consider a DOC.

I will have a DOC not a wedding planner because I am too anal to allow someone else to make suggestion (kinda Bridezilla but not really)

I'm thinking about a DOC. I really don't mind spending an extra $500 (or a small bit more) for peace of mind on the big day. I want to have to worry about as little as possible and would like to have someone there to keep things organized & running smoothe.
Hopefully I can find a reasonable one.

I think I have a DOC (through the caterer). I'm new at this but when I met with her she was talking about other weddings, and i put it together that she probably oversees the process during the whole wedding. I'll have to ask her.

Sometimes I wish I had a wedding planner - it probably would have took a lot of the stress away! I know of someone from my high school who is now a wedding planner, she is fairly new at it but knowledgeable, affordable and enthusiastic. FM me for contact info.

I had to book a DOC. I have a groomzilla AND a momzilla. I had my 1st experience with both 'zilla's' the day of the e-party. In order to keep my sanity, I found one and hired her asap!
