A question for those of you who have wedding planners - how much did yours cost and how helpful is he/she? I'm looking into ones in the NYC/Long Island area and trying to get a feel for what the average is.

I used LA Productions (Laura) as my DOC. She was awesome!

I used Francesca from Dazzling Affairs and still to this day swear by her. She was an absolute angel! Im not sure what she costs as it was a gift from my in laws. I would just call around or post on the vendors helping brides board.

We're using a DOC from Perfect Wedding Planner. She is somewhat helpful now, but I hear she is wonderful day of. They range based on time of year and day of the week. We were told that she ranges from $800 to $1300 and an additional $250 if you want her at the rehearsal. They have several DOC's and they'll set you up with an appointment if you want to meet them.
