Wedding Planner- Update

So I called a wedding planner to get some prices what do you girls think:

1200 - come with me to all my appointments, rehearsal dinner, day of wedding.

950-2 weeks prior to the wedding we have phone meetings, rehearsal dinner, day of wedding.

Am I crazy for wanting one?????

Update: Hey ladies got a few more e-mails from other wedding planners I found in my area.

One said 575- for unlimited phone calls, e-mails, rehearsal dinner and day of.

If you want it go for it but I do think it is a lot. My coordinator was $500 and if I want her to come to the reheasal it is $75 extra. But I don't need mine to come to appointments.

I don't think you are crazy at all, i think if a planner is in your budget then go for it! i am personally getting one because I want to be the bride on the day of my wedding and not have to worry about anyone coming up to me or my parents with any problems.

I was really on the fence about it and then a fellow 08'er gave me some great advice she said: the days leading up to the wedding and the day of, everyone caterers to YOU, people go above and beyond so there is no need for one. So after hearing that, I put it on hold.

I sooo want one, but of course it depends on my budget. I want James Tramondo from Davi weddings. Might be too expensive though.

no u are not i am planning to hire one as well because school and work will really be on the way of things it's a good investment how long is the 1,200 for a year prior to the wedding or what?
