Wedding planner/organizer

Wedding planner/organizer

My best friend just got engaged and she lives out of state.

I want to send her a wedding planner/organizer. I saw one once that was almost like a portfolio where you could keep all your receipts etc... it looked cool.

Do you like your wedding planner/organizer? Would you recommend it? What's good about it?

Please post the title!!! I'm going on Amazon.com to shop!!!

TIA!

Re: Wedding planner/organizer

My SIL made one for me, it cost a fortune because she used all types of scrapbooking materials, and then printed pages for all the vendors. I carried it with me EVERYWHERE and I loved it so much, it was my bible!!! I even had to change the binder because the one she used became too small.

If you want to make one for her, hit up Michaels, it might be a nicer gift because it was made by you personally....

There's also a website that had a great one that can be personalized,I'll check for ya!

I must say I get so excited talking about my wedding planner/organized because I feel its the BEST one out there!

I got it from Borders for $29.99, Its called Bravo Wedding Planner by Mary Lou Burton.

This planner has everything in it, card holders, receipt pockets, questions to ask each vendor, contract (if they don't have one already), To do List, Calender, After the wedding section, HM section...., Miscellaneous section, contact info...
EVERYTHING!!!

I highly recommend this book, I got my friend the same book as a gift.

Re: Wedding planner/organizer

i bought a planner and then returned it.

i took a 3 inch binder ($2) and 2 packages of plastic hole punched bottom pocket folders and put them in the binder (from staples). I printed out the inserts with the different vendors (hair, gown, invitations, etc) and put them in the folders.

The whole thing cost me $10 and is so much more durable and larger than the book I bought for $30

I did something similar and I agree it was the best thing I did. More than half the stuff in those wedding planners will never get used and they cost so much. Making your own is fun, personal and you can put exactly what you want and need in it.

I saw two that seemed good - The very best wedding planner organizer and The ultimate wedding planner organizer. I'm going to see others tomorrow at barnes and noble.

Any other suggestions are still welcome!

I got a Martha Stewart planner at Barnes and Noble. It has sections for each vendor, tips, pictures, and pockets. I keep all my wedding stuff in there!

I found a nice mini planner here. It's actually not that mini. :) And it's free with colors!
