I want to plan everything myself, but with working full time and everything, do you think it would make sense to hire a planner or even just a wedding day coordinator to take the pressure off of me? Did anyone out there hire a planner and did you think it was useful?

I used Francesca and she was absolutely wonderful!!! I can not say enough about her. If you think you need help with the planning then I would say go for it. Its definitely a helpful thing to have one, she took care of everything that I couldnt, she set up appointments etc. when it was good for me to be there and she would meet me there. Its definitely easier to have one

Re: Wedding Planners?
I did not use a planner and planned my entire LI wedding from down here in the Wash DC area. We were married a year from when we got engaged. I think it is totally possible to do it without a planner or DOC, but if you think it will help you, go for it. You do have more than a year to go until your wedding, so I think you'd be fine, but again, if it would help you keep the stress down, go for it.
eta, just saw your wedding date is just now less than a year away. still think you could do it though.
