Wedding Planning 101

Hi All -

As mentioned before, I'm a new user on here and will be getting married on April 30th @ Watermill Caterers. We're extremely excited, however weren't expecting to be tying the knot until late June - but based on availability, we snatched what we could :)

I've just started thinking about what I need to do. So far the only things I've accomplished is: location and possibly colors (light green w/ lavender or white). One of the things that's concerning me already is just the general cost of things. We're trying to keep it to a tight budget as we're paying for the whole thing ourselves, so I wanted to get a sense of whether or not the below is realistic in terms of budget, and if anyone has any great vendors to recommend. I've tried looking through multiple threads, but was not able to find something specific to budgets, so apologies in advance if this is a repeat. The following is our general budget on some of the key items - any recommended vendors would be great:

1. Photography (no video, for about 5-6 hours): $1000-$1500
2. Flowers (bridal bouquet, 1 bridesmaid, 2 flower girls, and reception - upto 10 centerpieces): $1,000-$1,500
3. Anyone that's booked or has had their wedding at the Watermill and used the new Carnegie Chapel as their reception room - any advice/feedback would also be great!

I also wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations for where we can buy/rent table cloths. Not sure if the ones being provided are what we're looking for and if it will go with the overall color palette.

Thanks in advance fellow brides :)

For flowers you can definately use that budget

Try either B urtons (Huntington) or Designs by Rose (Howard Beach)
