Wedding planning 'revelation'.

Hi girls,
I found out some really interesting things about people in my family since FH and i got engaged.

I'm sure all of you can relate to this.
What is up with people that have always been close friends, have gone through their own weddings already, I've ALWAYS been overly excited for them, and helpful, yet, my engagement, wedding, ETC. Is 'off topic', because for some reason, they make me feel so awkward even talking about it!! I just don't feel that it is fair.....ESPECIALLY since it;s mostly family!!! I NEVER even talk about my plans unless asked. I guess it just hurts. I have only my sister, and she lives in North Carolina! .

She helps and of course she is excited, it just stinks that she is another state!!! *feeling better getting it off my chest*

I guess I'm realising that just because you are good to others, does not mean that they will reciprocate.

ETA: Just to clarify, my sis is AWESOME, I just miss her ALOT, and especially while I'm planning the wedding.

I am sorry your sister is not by your side i wouldn't know what i would do if i didn't have my sister even though she is much younger she is the best and the sweetest thing!! having said that it kind of happened to me at the beginning of wedding planning because i started really early so i would get negative comments because of that i feel you!! hope things get better I am pretty sure that they will be more involved as the wedding gets closer besos

I completely agree!! Hopefully you feel better knowing that you are not the only one!

Some people are just not into weddings in general & like the having fun process but not everything that comes before it.
