Wedding preparations - Need advice!

This is my second marriage and I'm nervous as the date is so near. First time I got married at the age of 20 and I didn't have any idea about marriage back then. Now I'm very much concerned about all things. I have designed my wedding gown. It's very simple and I think pearl accessories might suit well.
I have scheduled for face neck lift from a clinic in Toronto on 20th of this month. I'm 41 years old and John is 39 years old. I want to look young for the marriage, so I'm undergoing this procedure. My main concern is, will I be able to put on makeup for the marriage. I have heard that after removing the sutures and closing the incision, one can apply makeup. Any thoughts? I don't want others to notice the scars. Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanks!!
