Wedding presents, when did you open

Wedding presents, when did you open

Actual 'presents', not money envelopes.

We are receiving gifts from our register in the mail. The wedding is 7 weeks away. Do we wait until after the wedding to open them???

I don't want people to wonder why they have not received a Thank you card if we wait to open them...

thanks!

I would open them now and get some thank-yous out of the way, otherwise they will not get any responses to their gift until after your HM.

If I can glom onto Marcia's question...when you send thank you's for the gifts that arrive before the wedding, do you also send a thank you to the same people for attending the wedding?

I'm sending TYs as soon as we receive gifts. I did plan on sending a photo TY along w/the favors after the wedding to those who didn't come but sent us a gift.

Jann - I would say yes. You should send both.

Thanks! That's what I figured. Kinda s*cks though considering I hate writing them, but hey, it's the price you gotta pay for getting the goodies!

To confirm:

1. Its okay to open wedding gifts right away
2. Send TY right away
3. Send a 2nd thank you after wedding

It is correct???

Thanks!!!
(we have gifts we'd love to open tonight )
