Wedding programs...

What are the reasons to have them? I know they list what your ceremony consists of, right? Are they just for larger weddings? We are now having our ceremony in a church. I don't know if we are having a full Catholic Ceremony, or not. Does it matter how long your ceremony is? Thanks!

I really don't think it matters how long your ceremony is. Basically, it lets people know who your wedding party is, and offers a guide to the ceremony itself. We are having a full Mass, so the program I've made generally lists the order of the Mass, tells who's reading the readings and what they are, and the last page, we've put in a nice thank-you to everyone for sharing in our special day. A good website I found that may help you see what some programs look like is as follows:

Good Luck.

I agree with the previous post. Also, if there is someone who means a lot to you who cannot be there (deceased, ill, etc.) it can be done in the program. My father passed away a few years ago, so on the last page of our program, we scanned a picture of my father and I dancing from a few years ago with a few words to remember him.

Mary - what a nice idea....

I lost my father when I was 21. I was planning on doing a candlelighting ceremony at the ceremony itself. I wanted to say or do something in the program as well...I think it is a wonderful idea what you're doing...
