I have about 30 items on my registry, is this enough? I made it more so for the bridal shower and I have about 20 people coming. FH and I really need big ticket items like a washer machine so we are really hoping for more cash at the wedding.

Re: Wedding Registry
I would suggest you add more items. If you are nervous that people would buy things off the registry for your wedding, I would then suggest you delete the items after your bridal shower.
ps- BBB gives back cash. You need to request this otherwise they give back store credit.

Oh boy. It was so tough picking out the 30. Lol. Adding more sheets and towels I guess....

We haven't registered yet but we plan on keeping it about that size but we are also doing a honeymoon registry. I've never done this before but if I were attending a shower and all of the items were bought off the registry I would give a gift card to the store the couple was registered at.
I agree with Sandr325, add items for the shower and then remove whatever you added afterwards. You're better off getting gifts that you actually want or can find a use for then ending up with people just buying you something they may think you want because there wasn't anything left on your registry.

You're supposed to have 3 times the amount of guests according to the woman that helped me register. I have like 400 items cause I'm insane lol! I'd say have at least double to be safe.

That's prob what I'll end up doing. I figured people wouldn't be giving cash for the shower which is why I originally created the registry. There are only a handful of big items that we really want. I'm also registered at Bed Bath so if anything I can get money back.

FH and I have lived together for the past 2.5 years so for me a small registry was enough and it worked out perfect at my shower.

I agree with the others about adding more. I had about double the number of gifts on the registry as the number of people invited to my shower. It's important to have a range of prices too, maybe add some more smaller items to bulk it up.
edited to add that if you wanted to do a honeyfund that is a good alternative instead of making a big registry!!

Good to know! I received a few doubles at my shower - would love it if I could get cash when I bring them back.

I have like 80 people coming and only had 50 something gifts. A lot of them were bigger items so people can go in on together and I also have a honeymoon registry, which is where I wanted people to really give to. My shower hasn't happened yet, but my mother said everyone thought the honeymoon registry was a great idea. It's your choice whether to add more things. I personally didn't feel comfortable just registering for things I would then return.

I have 220 gifts, and multiples on a lot of those like stemware and flatware. I have around 90 people invited to my shower.
