Wedding Registry with Cool Shipping Feature

A friend of mine was telling me about a work colleague of hers who had some sort of registry service - people bought her and her husband gifts from all of the traditional stores, but this service held onto the gifts until the bride said to ship - they got a bulk discount on the shipping (already paid by the purchaser) and a cash rebate on any shipping fees paid by the gift giver. They also stored all of her gifts for her (which sounds great coming from a Manhattan apartment!)

Has anyone heard of such a service? My friend is trying to get the name but hasn't come up with it yet.
