We had the most amazing time at our wedding and on our honeymoon. I wanted to share my reviews of all my vendors with you girls that are still planning away. Once I get some pictures I will post them so you can all see them!
OHEKA Castle – Absolutely amazing! I have heard so many great things from all our guests about the food. The service was unbelievable. There wasn’t anything that they could not do for us or any of our guests. Our matre d’ (Brett) was great. He had everything down to a tee, just like we discussed. I did not worry about one thing. On top of all of this the place is beautiful and people were in awe of everything from the amazing stations at the cocktail hour, to dinner, the dessert café and final the Jazz hour!
Creative Compositions (Photographer) – Showed up early! I have not seen the pictures yet, but from what I can tell I am sure they will be great! Ernie came with two assistants, one of which only shot black and white. She was great I just can’t think of here name. They were patient with my multiple family members and the little ones. I can’t wait to pick up our proofs!
Mark David Video Productions (Video) – They showed up even earlier than the photographer and filmed everything. We also arranged to have a separate video person at the church to film my husband’s arrival before I even got there. I was so happy with them. I did not even feel like they were around. They filmed exactly how I wanted. Something else we can’t wait to see.
Coachman Limos – On – time, clean cars. I didn’t know that there wasn’t going to be beer in the limo (only liquor) with the bridal party – so they stopped on the way to OHEKA from the church. But other then that they were fine. If any of you girls are getting a Princess Rolls Royce and are getting married in the winter – be aware that we were freezing. Whatever heat there was did not keep us warm. My husband was covering himself with my dress to keep him warm – which was kind of funny.
Hank Lane – The Arthur Stuart Band – Absolutely AMAZING! He played every single song that we requested. He learned a few new songs for us that were awesome. He kept everyone dancing all night long. We got so many raves about the music. My husband wants to know if there is anything we could ever us them for again he was so happy with them!
Rose and Rice (Florist) – The flowers were amazing. The colors were so vibrant and gorgeous. I was so happy with all of them. Just be aware girls – if you get Black Magic roses in your bouquet, do not let it touch your dress. The red leaves marks on your dress. Our centerpieces were low flowers with high pillar candles on pedestals that were three different levels with votives all over the room and tables. The glow of the candles along with the two fireplaces going gave the room such a romantic feel!
Bridal Couture – Contrary to what a lot of people think I personally had a great experience with them. Everything from my dress, which I love, to my headpiece, veil and all of my girls dresses (which were amazing and I got so many compliments from my guests on how great the bm’s looked) and my flower girl dresses was great. Everyone looked amazing and felt great in everything. Another big plus was how comfortable my shoes were – Nicole Miller – purchased at BC. I had my slippers all ready to go but my feet did not bother me once and my feet have a tendency to swell and I did not have a single problem.
Make-Up – Danielle from the Bobbi Brown counter in Bloomingdale’s in Roosevelt Field. She did my make-up, the MOB, MOH, my grandmother and my father’s wife. Amazing. So natural looking and I only need to reapply lipstick the rest of the day.
Honeymoon – HAWAII – The best vacation we have ever been on!
Maui – We stayed in the Ritz Carltun – AMAZING – We wanted for nothing there. All of the staff at the Ritz is so attentive I felt spoiled being there. From the minute you walk in – Hi Mr. & Mrs. XX is there anything you need… There is a ton to do in Maui and it is beautiful.
Kauai – The Princeville Resort – The view from our room was to die for. The Princeville is at the top of the island tucked away – another wonderful hotel. Kauai is definitely the most beautiful island I have ever seen. We did a helicopter ride there and it was amazing. I think we took 60 pictures just on the helicopter.
Oahu – W – We really went just to see Pearl Harbor, which was really nice and worth it. But I would not recommend going for more than a day. I f I had to change something I would have stayed in Kauai for an extra day and only went to Oahu for the day as opposed to over night. The W was just okay – I wasn’t really impressed.
Las Vegas (one night on the way home) – Mandalay Bay – a ton of fun, great pool!
