Wedding review
had my wedding the night before Thanksgiving. The traffic was rough getting to church. I was 20 minutes late, but the rest of the night went perfect.
Ceremony Location: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church - Beautiful, small and personable.
Reception Location: Chateau Briand - A+ - it was dressed up in Christmas cheer. The tree was lit and the waterfall was on. They had moving deer in the front that greet all the guests. The piano guy was playing. Champagne was served in the lobby for the guests.
The cocktail - Promenade was a bit small for 135 guests but it worked. The food was outrageous.
The photo room for the bridal suite - Monet Gallery - was perfect. They had food and bar for all my bridal party and immediate family for an hour before cocktail hour.
The main room - Saturnia - was lite well and we had ordered Brooklyn Bar - Italian Specialty Ice Cream - A big hit. We set up a video screen for our video montage... my family was so surprised.
Photographer: Cassarino- so far ok, waiting for the pics. We had ordered also the photojournalist - we had Franco- he wa great... he gave us a CD of 200 pic the night of the wedding!
Videographer: VSNY - A++ - Julie was the nice person... he was with us for 12 hours. The next day, Thanksgiving, he met us to give us the un-editted version of our wedding video.
Band / DJ: Beyond The Music - A+++ - They were the life of the party... everyone was commenting on them.
Ceremony Music: Church Organist - A - they played and sung beautiful.
Limousine: Royalty - A - Very good and timely, could not help the traffic.
Florist: Pedestals - B+ - I loved the bouquets... however, the centerpieces were not what we ordered.. they were still pretty.
Gown By: Maggie Sottero Dion- A+ - I felt like a princess in her dress. I even bought her bolero jacket to wear for the church... people commented on it all night.
Officiant: Deacon Joe - A+ - he made every one laugh!
Hair: Linda - my regular hairdresser - A+ - she did the best updo.. as usual!
Makeup: Liza Browne - A+ - I am not a makeup person, but I have to say... she made me feel comfortable and very natural.
Honeymoon: M&M Travel - Sandals St. Lucia Regency - A+ - the agency is very nice and Sandals treats you like gold... highly recommend.
