Wedding Review-4/11/14
First, I want to apologize that my review took 3 months to put up, but I have been super busy as a newly wed wife. I would also like to say that my wedding was everything I have ever dreamed of and wanted it to be plus so much more. I can’t believe I am a wife and married to my best friend and love of my life. So here go...
John proposed to me on Valentine’s Day, which in 2013 was a Thursday. Since my mother knew about the proposal, she put together a surprise Engagement Party on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Everyone at that party showed both me and John just how loved and happy my family was for both me and John. This Engagement party I give an A++++. The cake which was from Costco was so fresh and moist and beautiful, I give it an A+++. On Saturday April 20, 2013, John’s family then threw us an Engagement Party, which was also filled with love and happiness from his family to us. I give this Engagement party an A++++. The cake, which I believe was from Costco was also delicious and I give it an A+++ as well.
Our formal Engagement Photo’s were done by Brandon and Rebecca from NY Occasion Photography from which we got off Groupon. They were amazing and gorgeous and people are still talking about how beautiful our photo’s were. I give them an A++++.
Our Save the Dates were found online at American Wedding. I give them a B only because the logo on the back was upside down. But I will say that when I called to complain they were gracious and apologetic and gave me all my money back.
My Bridal Shower was a complete surprise and unexpected because it was thrown four months before my actual Wedding. It was so beautiful and classy and everything I could have asked for, for my Bridal Shower. My mother, husband, bridesmaids, family, and friends really showered me with love and happiness, and I give my shower an A++++. The food was from Gianna’s in Medford and was delicious, A+++. The cake was from Dolci Mementi and was delicious and moist and beautiful, A+++. The waitress my mother hired was a family friend and she was amazing, A+++. The table, table cloths, and chairs were rentals from my cousin’s friend and I give them an A-, only because the table cloth color was not what my mother had wanted. The favors were Christmas ornamental balls from the Poconos that my mother had picked up and I give them an A+++. The invites were from online at Starkie.com and they were gorgeous and so cute, A+++.
My Wedding Gown was a strapless, sweet-heart neckline, mermaid dress by Justin Alexander. It was stunningly beautiful, and I give it an A++++. Now, the Bridal Salon I got my Wedding Gown from I gave a C because they were not honest and my dress was delayed over a month. I got my beautiful blue heels from Nordstroms and they were made by Nina, and I give them an A+++. My Wedding Flip Flops were also made by Nina’s from Nordstroms and I give them an A+++. My earrings were bought at Bridal Reflections and were gorgeous, A+++. The diamond tennis bracelet I wore was borrowed from my mother and I gave it an A+++ because it was gorgeous. My hair was done by Sally from Who Does Your Hair and I gave her as well as the shop an A+++, because my hair looked perfect and beautiful and they gave me the complete Wedding Day experience. My make-up was done by a family friend, William and he did a perfect wonderful job, and I give him an A+++.

The Wedding Favors were L.O.V.E. coasters from FavorFavor.com. We had these at our Wedding as favors as well as having a photo booth, with which our guests loved and also acted as a second favor as well with the printed out photo’s . The L.O.V.E. coasters I give an A+++.
Our Wedding Invitations were simple, classy, and romantic from Exclusively Weddings.com, A+++.
Now, onto Fox Hollow, everyone there was amazing. They worked so hard to make sure our Wedding was special. From the start, when we arrived we were greeted by out Bridal Attendant, Megan, A+++. She ran around like a chicken without a head to ensure we enjoyed ourselves on our day. Our Mairte ‘D, David Berger, was always there to help us and make sure everything went smoothly, A+++. We felt like family since the beginning because of our Banquet Manager, Ken Weintraub. He always helped us and was very welcoming to me and my family with any questions or issues we may have had, I gave him an A+++. He truly made my dream of getting married at the Somerley come true. Then once we got closer to the Wedding Day, Jessica Levy made sure our menu, and table linens was perfect. She even made special food arrangements for me and my husband John, A+++. The food was amazing and my guests are still raving about it, A+++. The cake, which was from Francesco’s Bakery, was so beautiful and delicious, A+++. The cake topper was a monogram “M”, was so classy and beautiful. I got it on Etsy, from Barbie Hill Designs, and she was so helpful, understanding, and accomodating, A+++. The Inn at Fox Hollow was gorgeous, clean, new, and friendly. My guests are still talking about how beautiful the room was and how friendly the staff was. They also loved the complimentary Breakfast Buffet, A+++.
The Florist I used was a family friend and his shop was called San Giorgio’s Florist and Garden Shop in Carle Place. The Bride’s bouquet was beautiful and classy, A+++. The bridesmaids bouquet were gorgeous and the color went perfectly with their dresses, A+++. The mother’s corsages were beautiful, however I give them a C because they died early. The boutinnere’s were beautiful and my husband wanted me to give them a B. The vases for the centerpieces were perfect and everything I had asked for and envisioned, A+++.
The photographer we used was ADA Studios and we first met with Tony, and he was professional, friendly, and very accomodating. He feels like a part of our family,
A+++. Our photographer was Tommy and he was friendly, professional, and took amazing photo’s that were are in love with, A+++.
Our Videographer was a family friend and was nice, but once we got the video back, I was upset with how the taping was. It was choppy, things were cut off and one of the dances I had with John went black, I was very upset by that, C-.
The DJ we used was GNA Entertainment. I gave them a B-, because the MC was rude and sarcastic to my mother. He also kept bothering me with things, such as songs being played. I had on my list Cupid Shuffle and Electric Slide, and instead of playing both, he made me choose one. He then began an argument with me over having a game to give away the centerpieces. I didn’t want a game, spoke to the owner about it prior, so I was upset that the MC fought me over it. Finally, the DJ played songs I did not want, and although I was upset over it, my guests were up on the dance floor dancing.
Lastly, the photobooth we used was Modern Photobooth. They were amazing and my guests loved it and had a wonderful time with wonderful memories, and great times. I give them an A+++.
I hope you all will enjoy my Review, and find it very useful!!! :)
