wedding review-from arizona
Ceremony:
The ceremony was outside at the cibola vista resort and spa. They just had a small terrace thing they were married under-very simple. Me and fh were making fun of the officiant tho-he sounded like rob schnieder in 'i now pronounce you chuck and larry' i know we're bad but i couldnt stop picturing it! It was a pretty quick ceremony which was good b/c it was HOT!
Reception:
The hall was across the street still at the resort. The room was pretty small. There was about 50 guests. There wasnt really a seperate dance floor-just a small space in the front of the room. It was fine tho-a lot of us got up there and danced!
Food:
They had a seperate caterer come in. They were late showing up so by the time the appetizers were served up-it was time for dinner shortly after. The appetizers were mini potato skins, bruschetta, and stuffed mushrooms. For dinner, we had a choice of a stuffed fish, chicken with prosuito sp? and ham, or slices of prime rib. There was salad, bread, roasted potatoes and green beans as sides. I had the prime rib which was good. FH had the chicken which was good as well. Dessert wise, there was a cake and a chocolate fountain. Again-it was good.
Flowers:
They had their flowers done at stop and shop. The woman was late setting up which kinda pissed my uncle off. The bouquets were small but pretty-just standard red roses. The centerpeices were in these giant martini glasses-im not sure what type of flowers they were tho. They looked nice tho.
DJ:
They had a dj and he played a nice variation of music. Let me just say tho...people were gettig all nasty on the dance floor-i was asking where the poles were haha
Photographer:
They had 2 photographers. They didnt get in the way of anything and they got a lot of great shots. We made sure we got all our family pictures in since its the rare occasion we're all toegther.
Extras:
The place cards were candles so it doubled as our favor. The brides dress was gorgeous-she helped design it. She just looked so beautiful and i'm happy to join her into our family. The gm were in all black with a white tie ( which is what fh wants to do) it looked awesome-very italian mobster haha The flower girl was their daughter and shes just the cutest thing ever-i gotta see if i can post a pic
Let me just say tho-it was soooooooo different from a NY wedding. People showed up in JEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like ***???? But ona good note-i got to have fun with my family and ive realized how much ive missed them.
