For those of you who have already bought their wedding bands, and for those of you who will buy them, did/will you help your fiance pick out their band, or did you let him pick out his own? My fiance picked a couple that he liked in a catalog, but I don't really like them. Should I tell him I don't like them, or just let him get what he wants? Of course I want him to get what he wants, I just don't really like the ones he's picked out. I mean, one ring he picked out is $363.00. It white gold, and brushed yellow gold w/5 little diamonds. To me, that sounds like a cheap made ring? What do you girls think? Thanks so much!

Wedding ring question...
Well I'm marrying a carpenter who
A)won't really wear his ring so much
& B) doesn't really like jewelry!
so I'm getting him whatever he wants.
You could try seeing if you to can get matching rings. Then at least you know you'll like his! Give it a shot!!

Wedding ring question...
I`m letting my FH pick out whatever he wants. He`s not a big jewlery fanatic and I want him to have a ring he`ll love and want to wear. Good luck with your ring shopping!

Wedding ring question...
if he likes the style, but you think it's cheap, help him find something similar in platinum that's made better. Maybe he's concerned with the price since all the money being spent on the wedding? I'd say, definitely I am going to let my fiance pick out whatever he wants bc I figure the more he likes it the more he'll wear it, lol

My FH ....
picked his own ring - actually we bought my bands (I got two) but not his yet. He is getting plat. to match my plat. but I'm letting him decide - I actually do like the rings that he picked out. If I didn't, I'd probably just tell him that I really didn't care for them but that if he really likes the one he picked out, that I'd learn to love it too. Think of it this way: Would you want your FH to tell you he didn't like the band you picked out and that he didn't want you to get it. Probably not - just be honest but not harsh!
Good Luck!

We had the same problem....
my FH was picking out plain,
boring rings. He's not a plain
boring guy, so I encouraged
him to look for something out
of the ordinary. We spent a little
more than we wanted to (Elsa's
Jewelry) but he loves it! And
so do I! :)

I let FH choose
He took a plain white gold ring...I asked him if he wanted platinum, he said no...ours will not match
we went together and I would suggest you try on rings...they are much different when you try them on.
I picked out my own band...why shouldn't he...he has to wear it everyday...

We picked them out together
And I am very glad we did. I love the band he got, but I thought he would have gone with something different. He picked a brushed white gold with black onyx inlay. We were going to get matching bands but his is very masculine. I went with a plat. with a beaded edge and a diamond band.

I would rather go on the store and try them on...
we did this down here in NC, but a family friend is getting our rings for us at 60% off at Fortunoff's. We can only go by catalogs since we live down here in NC. It's a great deal, but I hate picking from a catalog!!! We can't wait until our next trip to LI either because it'll only a month until our wedding. That's not enough time!

We went together
I gave him my honest opnions (in a nice way) about the rings he had tried on but I told him that since he was the one that has to wear it that he could get whatever made him happy. Would you want to wear a ring that you weren't happy with for the rest of you life? In the end he pick out a ring that we were both happy with...it wouldn't have been my first choice though, but it's the one that he liked the best.

Wedding ring question...
My husband and I went together to look for our wedding bands. My band was easy because it was the matching band to my e-ring. However when it came to his, that was a little bit tricky. He liked some that I wasn`t too crazy about and I liked some that he didn`t care for. Eventually we found one that we both liked. Ultimately it was his decision. If you really do not like what he picked out, you should tell him, I think that he will respect your opinion enough to take that into consideration. Be completely honest with him.
Good luck!
