Is there a particular reason he is against it? I don't see anything wrong with it, I think it's sweet and sentimental...

Re: wedding rings ?
my daughter will be two 2 weeks before the wedding so I wanted to do something to make her party of the wedding.
What would you do with the ring or the medalion to include them in the ceremony? I like this idea

Re: wedding rings ?
the nicest wedding i had ever been to was when the officiant included the children - it is really sweet - and i think important. these children were older than 3yrs. - but it was water works for everyone.

I think a cute way would be after he places my ring on then he bends down and puts hers on her finger...

I'm against it....I think maybe a necklace or something else to signify. I think the ring should be somehting between just the two of you. She will get hers one day

Ok, you beat me to it. I agree. Definitely include her, but only you get a ring.

I also agree. I want to include my FI's daughter but he's only marrying me. I was thinking of giving her a necklace during the ceremony, but make it separate from our exchange of rings. I bought her and I each a ring that we both like, so I'll include that in her gift that she gets at the RD. I think she'll like having matching rings with me!

definitely plus rings aren't that great for kids so young--a necklace would be better, while I think the wedding signifies the comng together of 2 families and your child as well, i think ultimately the marriage is between you and your FI, the family includes your daughter.
