Does anyone plan on wearing your wedding band on top of your Ering ?? I just don't get why everyone wears it under the Ering because you get that first... then your wedding band so shouldn't it go on top?

It's tradition to wear your wedding ring closest to your heart.
My SIL wears her wedding ring in front of her engagement ring, though, so it's not unheard of. I've seen several other women do this as well. I prefer the wedding ring to the inside, though.

yes, but if you wear it underneath, it's closer to your heart. That's the reason.

In addition to the 'closer to your heart' thing, I also heard that once you get married you should not take off your wedding ring, so you put that on and then the ering on top because you can just take that off and put it on without having to take off your wedding ring.
Of course, I do plan on taking off my wedding ring on occassion (showers or whatever) but this is just another thing I heard about why you wear the wedding ring under.

My ring is definitely coming off at times--I can't sleep in jewelry, especially rings. And I doubt it's going to the beach unless it's quite tight, although I did order a pretty tight size for me (I usually wear my rings too big, I hate the feeling of constriction in tight rings.)

Like other girls have posted, you are supposed to keep it closer to your heart. My mom wears it the other way though- you can wear it whatever way you prefer.

I have heard BOTH---e-ring/diamond closer to your heart OR wedding ring closer to your heart.
The only reason I wear my wedding ring first is it looks better with how the settings are of each ring or else I think I would wear it the other way since that is how my mother and grandmother wear it!

My band is on first....like the band is CLOSER to my heart....thats how its supposed to be. its supposed to be more important they say. im getting my same wedding band re-made so i have them on both sides [be4 & after the e-ring] thats for our 1 yr anniv.
u can wear it however u want tho. my SIL's wear their e-ring closer to their heart, while some wear their band on a different finger altogether!

You can wear it however you want. I got my wedding band not too long ago and to be honest w/you i think i like it better on top than on the bottom. Either way they are both very close to my heart

Awwwwwwww....closer to your heart....Awwwwww how cute.
I'm wearing it on top (further from my heart) because I hope to prevent my e-ring from falling off on a cold day. Also because of the stone: it's easier to pull off the ering. My wedding ring will be 1/4 of a size smaller.

I dont think it matters how you wear it. You can really do whatever you want- its okay! :)
I may have to wear mine on my other hand unless i get one custom made- my ering has a different shape and will look odd with a regualr shaped band next to it.

from what i've tried on, personally on me, the band looks better before the ering... closer to the heart. but that is just pure aesthetics... who knows, i might end up putting the ering on my right hand - it's not a standard band and i know i'm going to have trouble finding something complementary.

I never understood it..because a e-ring costs alot more than the wedding band..so i would think put the e-ring first with the wedding band on top..but tradition says your wedding ring should be closer to your heart..i actually like how the wedding band inside looks better!

my mom always had her ering on first then the band because her ering was a lot more then her band...im not sure what im gonna do yet....ill net ya know next april lol

I wear my e-ring on the inside with the band on the outside. I always wear my e-ring so to me it went on first and symbolically should be on the inside.

I attempted to wear mine on the outside just to be a little different, but it looked ridiculous! I guess it just depends on the style.
I know people who wears theirs on the outside and it looks fine.
If you like yours better on the outside then you should wear it on the outside!!!
