Ladies, are you planning on taking your engagement and wedding rings with you on your honeymoons? We are going on a cruise and I dont know what to do. I def. want to be wearing my rings- but will they be safe in the Royal Carribean safe??

Don't want to make anyone nervous, but I have heard terrible stories about girls losing e-rings and other jewelry on their HM. I know mine is insured and all, but I think I would be so upset to lose it!!
I'm Def not bringing it. FIL's, esp FFIL insisted on buying me a good fake to wear, it's almost exactly the same, some ppl can't tell the difference. We bought it at www.evesaddiction.com for like $30
totally worth it for my piece of mind!

We are still deciding. I think insurance only covers my ering in the continental US but we have to look further into it. If that's the case I probably will not wear it but I will bring my wedding band.

dont be scared to wear your rings. you will have a lifetime of vacations to wear your rings on. i know it seems scary but this is just the first trip of many with your rings. enjoy them and be safe.

Thank you everyone for your advice! I am going to take them with me... I cant imagine not going without them. I personally also dont think that it would mean much to me to have fake rings on. Im just going to try to insure the wedding band before hand.
Do I need to insure FH's wedding band too??? His is about $2,500.

I dont know if I am going to bring them, I dont wear my engagement ring to work now because its at a hospital and I am scared of losing it on my honeymoon so I dont know. FH would probably be very unhappy if I didnt bring it

I bought cheap ones off ebay and left the real ones home. Thank god I did this b/c DH ring fell off in the ocean.

I found a fake set on overstock.com that looks exactly like the one i have now. I'm going to order it and take it on the HM.

I don't know! It will drive me nuts to leave them at home, I would just leave them on, but I have this crazy fear of the diamond falling out in the ocean or something (and I plan to be in the ocean and pool alot!) It's well made but I always read posts about girls whose stones have come loose.

I am not taking mine on the HM with me. We planned a very active HM and will be scuba diving and don't feel safe leaving them at the hotel so they will be safe at home while I am away
If you guys dont trust the hotel safe... this is what I do (I travel alot for work). I buy a padlock or a regular lock and put my valuables inside my suitcase and lock it and then I usually put that in the closet or under the bed. Nobody touches your lugguage
