Wedding rings. Need opinions!

Wedding rings. Need opinions!

So I have been looking for a wedding band that looks good with my ering for months. I have literally looked at every jewelry store at about 3 seperate malls, and spent hours on overstock and amazon. The problem is that the way my ering is, most rings don't line up with it, which bothers me uncontrollably.

Someone on here is selling a beautiful double row diamond eternity band, for a great price. I really love it, but I'm worried that even though its such an amazing ring, the not lining up will bother me.

Yesterday we went to Attias flea market, and for the first time ever, I tried on a ring that looked amazing with my ering. It was quoted to us at just over $700. It was slightly curved, which made it fit, and FH and I said that if I went with a curved ring, I could get a cheap plain band to wear if I ever need to go without my ering.

The last option was when we visited another booth at attias. The guy there said they didn't have any curved rings, but they could design me a ring. He explained the process and showed me a mold, and how you can try on the mold to see if you like how it looks with your ering before you commit to it. He said he could do it with diamonds for around $500, which had me a little skeptical. He said you don't pay any money until you approve the mold and get a definite price. And he went through how its so cheap cause his store is also in the diamond district and they order in bulk. I, by nature, think everyone is trying to scam me lol.

So I'm not really sure what to do. Would you go through the design process with the one guy, to see if he could make one that fits the ring perfectly? Or one of the other options.

Help! My FH said to ask the girls on the board

Sorry can't be of much help.

What about calling Good Old Gold in Massapequa and asking them if they have a curved ring within your price range? They've gotten good reviews.

Thanks for the suggestion!

All of the rings i found are in our price range, so I think I am going to stick with one of the three! I get so overwhelmed with too many choices.

My DH (took my mom too) went to Busy Bee Jewelers on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa to design my e-ring. He dind't have to put any money down until he saw the mold either. Once he saw the mold, then he put a deposit down. Once the mold was done, Gary, the best jeweler in the world in my opinion then showed him diamonds in his price range and he got to choose which one he wanted for the main diamond and then the side diamonds.

Gary also took my grandmothers 59 year old wedding band and made it work with my e-ring, which wasn't an easy feat!

SO I would say, if you want it to fit REALLY well with your e-ring, try the mold thing...if you don't have to put money down (get it in writing) then what do you have to lose?!

Mel from wedding ring originals in Manhatten made my e-ring for me. He can customize anything. If you google wedding ring originals the website should come up and you can send him a message.

Jill, I have the same problem and have become obsessed with finding the 'perfect match' to my e-ring. Haven't been to Attias yet but am worried that they will take my ring to make a custom one. Has anyone had a custom ring make without giving up their ering? The only one I know that doesn't take it is Elsa but I couldn't afford what they quoted me.
TIA

This one said he would just take photos of it. I actually said I'm not leaving my ering and he said I wouldn't have to.

i had this same issue too. but i didnt want a curved ring, b/c i didnt like the way it looked on its own

what i wound up with is a cross-over type of ring

take a look

we did get this made at elsa, but i first had the idea when i tried on crossover rings at tricounty. they arent usually with the wedding band section, but it may fit really well
