Has anyone bargained there for their dress and if so how much of a bargain was it?

I got my dress there and I didn't bargain. Its pretty much assumed that you are going to pay what's on the price tag.
What they did do was give 15% off if I bought it within one week. I put a deposit on my gown and for the next 5 days I shopped around some more and went back to WSOM and bought the dress and got 15% off.

I did not bargain, your best bet is going to a trunk show, usually you will get a percentage off.

I got my dress there, but at a trunk show so i got a discount and then a small discount off the alterations.

great, charliesgirl. i went there when my mom was having oral surgery to try on the sample of a dress that was ordered from the company. they told me i could have 10% off if i ordered it that day. so i did, and now my mom is not paying for it because she wasnt there to see it. man..

honestly, all stores do that to try and get you to buy. then, go in a month later and be like...bridal salon X will sell it to me for X so i have to get it there. watch how fast they come down in price. wedding salon of manhasset is no different. i think all these salons have a bottom price but, will take as much as they think they can get.

I have not bought it yet and actually may not. But a dress I picked out there was $5300 and they brought it down to $4500. I still have not decided.

I don't know if this is going to help, but my FSIL told me the other day that she got a 10% discount on her gown there since she registered at Macy's.
