Wedding Salon of Manhasset

Any feedback? Good or bad? I'm looking for an Amsale dress, and they list the WS as a retailer. Please give me any advice.

I ordered my dress from there, they have been absolutely wonderful thus far. Before I purchased, I did my research, it has a wonderful reputation and no complaints with the better business bureau. I have also never seen a negative comment written about it on any of the wedding boards. I went there during an Amsale trunk show and they had a ton of Amsale dresses there, but they also have quite a few there on a regular basis.

Thanks! Do you know the price range of Amsale dresses? They are absolutely lovely, but I fear they are expensive

yes, amsale dresses are somewhat pricey....
i purchased my gown at the wedding salon during an amsale trunk show last July...it should be coming in this week....

i don't know what the price range is exactly...but i would say that they start around $2000...

What exactly is a trunk show? Do you get the dresses cheaper? What is the payment policy then? Also, do they treat dresses from trunk shows different (ie alterations, etc) than a dress bought from the store?

i just was there last week. they do have Amsale dresses and a lot of them. i was looking for a particular dress no one else had and they did. They seemed very nice and reputable. good luck

Hi Minnie,
I think Amsale dresses are like $2500 and up. I tried on one that was amazing and it was $2600., it was very basic and didn't have any beading.

minniebride: i just remembered they do offer a 10% discount if you puchase a gown on the first time you go in. I tried on an Amsale dress that was $5,300. but it had exquisite beading on the bodice. good luck

I would also receommend Wedding Salon - so far I am an extremely satisfied customer. They have a ton of dresses, Amsale included, but most gowns there start around $2000.

One suggestion, if you are willing to go to Manhasset, you might consider going to the Amsale boutique on Madison Avenue. They were wonderful and had amazing dresses. I must have spent over two hours with the poor saleswoman who was extremely accomodating. Very personal service and they can change anything on adress to exactly how you want it.

Check metphan's wedding review, just posted today. I didn't have a good experience there either (and I just went to try on gowns and that didn't even go well!).

I had a great experience there a few weeks ago when I went looking for bridal gowns. The lady who helped me was very nice and patient. They have a nice selection of Amsale gowns.
