Wedding Shoes

Where are the best places to go on LI??? I'm not sure yet if I want designer shoes or just really nice shoes. But I definitely need them to be white and closed toe, and comfortable lol. I'm supposed to be ordering my dress this coming week but I was told I need to have my shoes first. Thanks in advance!!

ETA: They don't have to be closed-toe, they just can't be strappy. It wouldn't go with my gown.

Not sure where in LI but you dont need to have your shoes before you even order shoes. You can just wear regular heels to try on with a dress. When your dress comes in its good to have your shoes then when they start alterations to see the length of the dress with shoes youre wearing and if the bottom needs to be hemmed. I didnt even do that and worked out, i bought my shoes after i started alterations and couldnt even try shoes with dress during alterations since i had a cast on. I basically told her that by then my foot will be healed and what shoes i would get and the height of the heel and worked out. But still not saying to wait that late but just before alterations is fine.

I would normally agree with this but for this particular dress, I need to have a perfect hollow-to-hem measurement because of the design of the dress. The entire thing, from neckline to toe, is hand embroidered and beaded, and it has a chantilly lace overlay which goes past the bottom of the organza hem, but only by a tiny amount, so it needs to be THE measurement, with the correct shoe, in order to order the dress, since it is a custom dress.

ahhhh so youre not just going dress shopping, you know the dress already. Ok i was also going to say to wait since you wont know which style of shoes would go best with dress but since you already know and are getting it hollow to hem then yeah good idea. Yes dresses that are ordered and made off your measurements are custom made.

Yes, I've already tried it on and was set on it but I'm going to officially order next week (if I get shoes on time hahah)!!! I really appreciate your input though - sorry I didn't specify that I had already picked the dress and that it was a custom dress!
