I LOVED Bridal Reflections of Carle Place. I had a very nice girl named Andrea and if I didn't find my wedding dress in Boston, I would've gone back to her. So, that's where I plan to go for my BM's dresses.

My mom was super excited, so I decided to go with her to Bridal Suite of Bay Shore for a MOTB dress and we were disappointed with the service. I had my dress in the car, so I asked about a veil and she blew me off. That on top of other things.

I went to Towers Flowers just by stopping in and the girl was really sweet! I forget her name and if you need it, the card is at home. Just FM me. She said they only do one wedding a day.

Perceptions is my favorite in terms of getting in touch. Anthony, the owner, followed up and made me want to stop in to check them out.

Tommy Tunes was great. Tommy was very easy to talk to. He tried to get us what we both wanted while staying in a budget. My FH wanted the world, but Tommy had suggestions to keep everything where my budget was set.

I met the guys from Variety Music and they were awesome. I haven't met with them, but the owner said he was willing to work with us and come up with a reasonable price.

I'm meeting Verbena Designs tonight.

Fox Hollow - Love David (booked b/c of him)

Metamorphisis - The girls were very nice. Really like them.

La Bonne Boulangerie - E-party cake was from them. I recommend the chocolate cake with vanilla mousse. People went CRAZY over it.

That's all I have so far.

I haven't gone dress shopping yet so I cant help with that..

as far as favors I like the wine bottle idea. How do you feel about a donation favor, this way the money goes to a good cause.

i like the donation idea alot...but i also wanted to hand something to the guests...lol

I wish I could do the donation thing! I wanted to give a small favor to go with the donation (like an envelope with seeds and a cute saying or poem to go with it). But! That was when I was thinking April (Spring) wedding... however... in the end my FH won because he wants champagne glasses as favors. Why? because 'champagne flutes are for celebrating.' He always seems to win!

Well, I was told that with a donation, people had given out small favors, personalized CD's, or homemade treats.

Good luck and let us know what you choose!

An envelope with seeds is a cute idea -- especially if it grows some sort of perennial, which they could look at every year and remember your wedding. They also make paper with seeds built in... people can just plant the paper!

But favors really are optional. You don't NEED to give anything, whether you do a donation or not. Unless my FH objects, we're probably not doing favors. My mom always says that it's not a Jewish thing

I laugh everytime I see you quote your mom about something not being Jewish!

I recommend going to NYC to Rk Bridals. HUGE Selection!

And they have the lowest prices for BM dresses, not so much gowns.
