Wedding show for $135 pp?

I heard there was going to be a NY wedding show but the entrance fee is $135 per person. I think it takes place late September. Does anyone know any details about this? I am curious to see why they are charging $135 for a wedding show. Thanks.

It's the Wedding March on Madison. I am going (YAY!!). It's $135 for THREE days and it starts on Friday night at 6pm. A lot of big names of the wedding industry are going to be there, for ex: Vera Wang, Preston Bailey, and Colin Cowie. I can't wait!!

I was almost contemplating going since there would be all these great weddding specialists there. Then I read the fine print on the invitation which states that certain seminars/discussions were subject to an additional charge. I was sure that the people I would spend time to hear would cost extra. They didn't even say how much extra it would cost. It's all a bit out of my budget but I would love to hear how those that went make out.

I'd rather use that $135 to pay for FH's and my meals at the wedding! I still think the bride and groom should get their meals for free, but that's a gripe for another day!

Thanks for your thoughts ladies. I found a link for it below. I can't believe what they are charging. They do give you a goodie bag and there will be designers there, but I cannot afford that kind of show.

that is way too expensive for me - even the ones that charged five bucks i thought were poor....you are paying so much for a wedding, it seems unfair!!

but if anyone goes, i would love ot hear aout it!

I don't think I'd pay that kind of money for a bridal show...and with only 3 months left to the wedding...there's no point to. But, I'd love to hear all about it from the girls who do go...it'll probably be one amazing show!!!

It is not just a wedding show like an expo you might see at a caterer, It is the equivalent of the NY fashion week for brides. There are supposed to be seminars & such. Do a search we discussed it a couple of weeks ago on the BHB board.
