wedding shower and a bridal shower?

What's the difference between a wedding shower and a bridal shower?

wedding shower is usually co-ed. also known as jack and jill shower.
bridal is usually all females. sometimes i fel bad that the guy isnt ther eto open all the gifts since they are his too but guys dont seem to get so excited over house gifts

I also thought that it was 2 different names for the same thing. I have never heard of guys being at a shower....

I also always thought it was the same thing. But we are having a bridal shower for mine with some guys, since I work in the fashion industry all my guy friends are gay and want to come to the bridal shower so we are weighing that option because I think it would be fun to have them there.

i don't plan on having a jack and jill shower...then fh would want to register at home depot and i don't really want to open up tools!

OMG - that would so be the same case for me with FH!!! Yeah...I am definitely having a 'bridal' shower...

i thought wedding shower and bridal shower was the same thing up into a year ago. when fh and i got an invite to a bridal shower and we say guys there.
