Wedding Sizes

How big/small is everyone's weddings? I ran though a quick list of people to invite and i'm like what.... it's more then i thought.

We are at 110 including people that bring a guest.

Same with us :) But our venue only holds a max of 100 so we're hoping that 10 don't show

An informal count we're probably pushing 175... Initially my FH and I we're ehh to big weddings b/c i feel you don't get to see half the people

But you can only cut so many and you CAN'T cut the family without causing problems, lol

They say 20% RSVP no... we'll see what happens as the planning progresses.

That is true in SOME cases... It's a weird cultural tradition with some family (extended-family) members to think that it's the bride and groom's honor to have guests at their wedding and to not expect a gift (this is super old school btw but still happens), so it's really not the gifts that we're looking to get... Not to mention that cutting some famly - yes - it'll cause problems but it will cause even more problems between my FH and I if we're paying for people we don't even know. We're keeping our wedding to immediate family and personal life long friends only so I guess that's why we have such a low number. But that's down from 202 (which was our mother's original guests) lol!

our list right now is at 260 and we guaranteed 175 so we hope that at least 175 will show up

FH and I are going to guarantee 100. We might have between 100 to 125. Our wedding really is going to consist of close family and friends. We won't be having extended cousins and such so I think that's how we kept our numbers low. Plus FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves so there was no way we could afford a 200 person wedding. Lol

we didnt want that many ppl - it just kept on getting bigger. hopefully we can pay it all off by next year~~~

Saaaame here!!! My daddio keeps talking about random 'family' members and friends that we should invite... I keep saying well dad, we're paying and we can't afford them... soooooo....
