Wedding Snap

Wedding Snap

Has anyone heard of this application for smart phones called Wedding Snap? I stumbled upon it and think it could be cool for my guests to upload pics, but don't want them to feel obligated to take pics for me. Do you think it would OK to ask my guests to take pics for me or would it be too much of a burden?

Does a price point of $147 for this app seem reasonable?

Ugh so many questions. I would really appreciate some input. Help please!!!

woahhh 147 for an app??

we created an account on snapfish so that for our e party, shower, and wedding, any pictures our guests take can be uploaded by them and we'll all share.

I love the idea of uploading everyone's photos. Did snapfish allow you to upload directly from your smartphone or did guests have to go home to upload? Were you able to get some cool pictures out of the snapfish album?

we haven't done it yet - those are our plans - but as long as they have smartphones they could do it there and at home

I know some people have printed up 'business cards' with a little poem or saying and the information about where to download their pics., and then leave them on the tables at the RH (from sites like vistaprint or zazzle)

@chilly313 - Great! Thank you for sharing. Did you use anything from this list? I want to make sure everything goes smoothly with gathering everyone's photos.

No, I thought about doing the cards, but it was pretty much last on my list of things I wanted to do and never got around to it before the wedding

I would not pay that much for an app...I'm hoping you meant $1.47. I would suggest making your own account on snapfish or something and make free cards on vistaprint. It's a cute DIY....but I had all of like 3 people do it. So good thing I didn't spend money on it.

Half of them just end up on FB.

I think $147 is not for one app, it's the price that the wedding couple pay so that their 150-200 guests can have it for free and take as many pictures as possible.
It's like the modern version of those old disposable cameras that used to be on top of tables. They used to cost more than 300 just from start to getting them printed.

I think the problem is that a lot of times guests forget to upload their photos online into these free websites because it takes the guests time and effort to hook up their phones or cameras to computer and upload everything into one place.

Also, if the guests post everything on Facebook then the bride has to go through 30 different Facebook pages to see the photos that her guests took at the wedding.

The advantage of wedding snap is that, it helps gather all the photos the guests take by directly getting them from the guests smartphones (as they are taking picture during the wedding) which means neither the bride nor the guests need to do much work to have all the guests' photos in one place.

My 2 cents :)

I wouldn't pay that much money, but that's because I know only two or three family members with smartphones and my drunk friends would probably be taking the fun but inappropriate pics that my 95 year old family members don't need to see But if you have a ton of tech-friendly people it could be worth it
