Wedding Song?

Original post by stevejamnik

Have any of you ladies decided on your wedding song. I was watching Jessica Simpsons Birthday where Nick sang to her on stage and I don't know the name of the song.

What other songs do you ladies have in mind, maybe you can help me. We need to decide soon because we are making CD's and the first song will be our wedding song.

Re: Wedding Song?

I used Al Greene's 'Let's Stay Together' . I love Al Greene and the song just put it perfectly regarding the type of love I want in my marriage.

Our song is ' I believe in you and me' by the four tops. We also wanted a timeless song.

Hollie is this it???

What Would I Do (Without You)
(Candy and flowers)
For my Valentine
(Minutes and hours)
You stay on my mind
(Romance and love songs)
I'm down on my knees
(Promise me you'll belong)
Oh to only me

But that's just a start
What I'm trying to say
I'd give you my heart
But it's yours anyway

CHORUS:

What would I do without you
To me you're the meaning of
The meaning of love
And I'll always be true
Forever with you
It just isn't long enough
What would I do
Without You
(I love only you)
And nobody else
(With feelings so new)
Like I've never felt
(Come hold my hand)
Aw, get all closer to me
(Cause you understand)
How true love should be

But that's just a start
What I'm trying to say
I'd give you my heart
But it's yours anyway

CHORUS:

What would I do without you
To me you're the meaning of
The meaning of love
And I'll always be true
Forever with you, yeah
It just isn't long enough
What would I do
Without.....

Your kisses and your tender touch
I love you I love you I love you so much
Baby there's something I want you to know
I'm gonna die if you ever go

(guitar solo)

CHORUS:

What would I do without you
To me you're the meaning of
The meaning of love
And I'll always be true
Forever with you
It just isn't long enough
What would I do
Without You
What would I do without you
To me you're the meaning of
The meaning of love
And I'll always be true
Forever with you
Forever's not long enough
What would I do
Without You
What would I do (yeah)

We are using 'You are so beautiful to me' by Joe Cocker. A little untraditional, but so sweet, and really nice lyrics ( 'youre everything I hoped for, evereything i need...')

We used 'wonder of you' by Elvis.

I'm torn because we both really like -' 2 less lonely people in the world' think Air Supply sings it but I wanted something classic and timeless like Sinatras the way you look tonight so we could hear it not ONLY at our anniversary! I also love Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clatpton but the lyrics aren't very weddingish

I'm actually dancing to this song w/my mom. I always remember my mommy singing this song to me from when I was a little girl.

Re: Wedding Song?

We picked Someone Like You. Now we're debating whether to use the Van Morisson version or the Dina Caroll version.
