What was / will be your wedding song (for you and your FH)?

We actually don't have a song and haven't chosen one, yet... I'm just curious what everyone else's songs were.

I originally wanted that song until I found out that was the first dance at DH's 1st wedding!

We didn't have a song either, and in the end (about a month before the wedding), we narrowed it down to three songs and ended up picking Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis.

We used back at one by Brian McNight....we picked it because we we're totally at a loss and liked it the best out of all the songs we heard on the love songs XM station on our ride up to NY the Wednesday before the wedding....it's a fine song but I kind of wish we went with my first instinct which was When You Say Nothing At All by Alison Krauss...that's a pretty song

There was a great song by Sade (I forget the name) but my cousin had it and she just got married last year.

So we had 'The Nearness of You' by Norah Jones. It's very simple - her singing, the piano, that's it. And it's SHORT! DH isn't a great dancer so that was good.

My mother asked me after the wedding why we chose that song. I told her we both like Norah Jones and it's on an album we have. She said that it's a really old song (from at least back to the 50's - remade by tons of people) and one of my aunts/uncles had it as their wedding song too! I had no idea.

I LOOOOOVE that song! I was thinking of singing it to my FH at our reception, but I'll probably cry through the whole thing and not be able to sing... or I'll sing 'Come Rain or Come Shine'... that's if I sing at all because I might be too emotional and nervous to do it!!

We're pretty sure our wedding song will be 'You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You' by Dean Martin - only because it was playing at Starbucks on our first date and it's from his favorite movie 'Swingers' which was the first movie we watched together on the night we became a couple! During that movie was also the first time we made out... needless to say I had to watch it again cause I didn't see much of it that night! LOL
