what inspired you to pick the song you picked for your first dance?
FH and I both love dashboard confessional and we both agreed one day that Stolen made us think of each other... when we started planning we were both in agreement that it was the song because it just made us both think of each other of our first date

well, we didnt really have a song so i kept going through lists of wedding songs and were trying to come up with something not over used...it was hard bc FH didnt like anything i played for him until i finally played John Legend's Stay with You and we both loved it right away!

There is only a finite amount of music that FH and I both like...and Queen happens to be a band we both REALLY like. We knew that we didn't want to do a slow 'sway back and forth' dance. One day we were listening to Queen and You're My Best Friend came on...and we sat listening and all of a sudden I said 'Hey, what about this for our first dance??' and he thought it was a good idea.
It expresses how we feel about each other and it meets all our other criteria.

well fh and i were apart for a while when we started dating. he lived in ohio after he was finished with active duty and he started to learn the guitar when he went home. he learned a few bread songs but the song 'if' was the one that made him think of me. when we started planning the wedding he said he wanted that song to be the one that we danced to because it was really pretty and it made him think of me when he was away. so i agreed

When we first started going out, I went over night one night and he had a song that he said he wanted to play for me. It was Journey's 'Faithfully'- it was really cute and we made out like whoaaa to it

Ours is Aerosmith 'Angel.'
Long story short:
On our first date, the song started playing and I was gushing about how much I loved the song. Skip to the end of the date, he said he was going to the bathroom. After he got back, we went to go pay and as I tried to get my wallet from my purse, I noticed something strange in my purse. I pulled it out, and it was the Aerosmith 'Big Ones' cd....with all of their greatest hits...including Angel He got it out of his car and snuck it in my purse!
To this day, I still have the cd

We really don't have 'a song'. When we got engaged, he played 'All my life' by K-Ci & Jo-Jo, but we decided we weren't going to have that song. I never wanted a slow song to dance to-so when we heard 'Halo' by Beyonce, we both agreed on it. We'll see if it changes by May-LOL

FH loves Billy Joel and always said I already know what are wedding song is going to be. So one day he played it for me and I loved it. He is so passionate about it I couldnt say no!!! We are using To Make You Feel My Love by BIlly Joel!

We don't have a 'song' but both we're able to agree that it should be in the classic rock genre because 'our love is timeless.' (how corny!) So we're down to 'Wonderful Tonight' or 'Maybe I'm Amazed'

We just loved 'I Will Be' by Leona Lewis I immediatly wanted to use the song and when it came on the radio Matt really liked it. So it was just settled. We don't really have 'a song' but if we had to chose one it would be 'I'm Your's' by Jason Mraz we are going to use that for our cake cutting song.

FH actually picked our wedding song 'I finally found someone' by Bryan Adams & Barbara Striestand ( don't know how to spell her last name)
I had never heard of it and he made me listen to it and it made me cry.

Our song is 'After All' by Cher & Peter Cetera,, and the lyrics described us really perfectly because we went through so much to be with each other. We also had an inside joke about the song when we were just friends and when we first started seeing each other, FH told me that he always pictured marrying me and dancing with me to this song, so it stuck.

I had heard 'Making Memories of Us' by Keith Urban before I met FH and said to myself that that song had to be my wedding song. I told FH even before we were engaged that we were using it. He didn't want to use it because it was a country song, but once I played it for him, he didn't object.
